Collection: Flags

Flags throughout the ages have always been powerful symbols, they mark identity and unity. With the LGBTQIA+ these flags carry stories of courage, resistance and pride. At LGBTQ+ Flags Australia our collection of flags honours this rich history, which started in 1978 in San Francisco with the original Rainbow Flag. 

From there, many new flags emerged as more and more of the voices of the community were heard and recognised. Each was designed with colours and meanings distinctive to the people they represented. More recently, designs like the Progress Pride Flag have expanded on the original rainbow, highlighting the importance of inclusion and diversity
